Marchese now certified civil trial attorney

Newton Daniel G. P. Marchese, Esq. of Morris, Downing and Sherred, LLP, Newton, has been recognized by the New Jersey State Supreme Court as a Certified Civil Trial Attorney, a status granted only to those attorneys who have demonstrated sufficient levels of experience, education, knowledge and skill in civil trial practice. Marchese’s practice at Morris, Downing and Sherred focuses on civil and commercial litigation as well as insurance and municipal matters. An attorney who is certified by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Civil Trial Attorney must meet certain criteria, including: membership in good standing of the New Jersey Bar for more than five years; fulfillment of on-going continuing legal education requirements; a substantial level of experience in civil trial law; a favorable evaluation by other attorneys and judges familiar with his or her work; and successful written examination in civil trial law. Prior to joining Morris, Downing and Sherred, Marchese dedicated his practice to all matters litigated. He has been a licensed attorney in New Jersey for nearly nine years. Marchese earned his Juris Doctorate from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1997, having previously earned a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University. While in law school, Marchese interned at the Office of the Passaic County Prosecutor in the White Collar Crime Unit and was an Essay Editor/Member of the Seton Hall University School of Law, Law Review. He is also a member of the Federal District Court for the District of New Jersey. Marchese and his family reside in Long Valley of Washington Township, Morris County.
