McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac still collecting children's books

Newton — McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac is a drop-off spot for new and gently used children’s books. The books will be donated to the Driven To Read campaign, which promotes literacy within the state, specifically to organizations that benefit underprivileged children. “We collected a crate or two of used books,” notes Mike McGuire, President of McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac, “but, we’re still hoping for more.” The New Jersey Coalition of Automotive Retailers, along with a network of New Jersey automobile retailers around the State are spearheading the campaign. “As families clear out the ‘old’ to make room for holiday gifts, we hope they will drop off children’s books at the dealership,” notes McGuire. The campaign/collection extends through the end of the year. McGuire Chevrolet Cadillac is located adjacent to the square, in downtown Newton.
