Newton Memorial team raises $6,000 for women's cancers

NEWTON Newton Memorial Hospital’s Team, consisting of Newton Memorial Hospital staff, family and friends, recently participated in the 10th Annual Revlon Run/Walk for Women. The team raised $6,000 this year, marking the hospital’s ninth year of participation, during which time it has raised more than $68,000 in pledges to date. The 5K run/walk fundraising event was held in New York City for the purpose of raising money and awareness for the fight against women’s cancers. The team was treated to breakfast courtesy of hospital employee Joanne Gancarcik, T-shirts from the Newton Memorial Hospital Marketing Department and bus transportation provided by the Newton Memorial Hospital Medical Staff. Special thanks to everyone - we appreciate all the generous donations and support of the Newton Memorial Hospital Team for this important and inspirational event.
