N.J. Transit resumes bus service to Mountain Creek
Sussex County - N.J. Transit will again provide weekend and holiday bus service from the N.Y. Port Authority to the Mountain Creek ski resort between Dec. 26 and March 5. The service is an extension of the current 194 bus route from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, which includes a stop at the Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride in Wayne, before arriving at Mountain Creek. Service will operate on weekends and holidays, including Martin Luther King Day and President’s Day, and daily during the Christmas holidays, between Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. One-way rates to/from NYC are $9.25 for adults, $4.25 for children and seniors. From the Willowbrook Mall the fare is $3.65 for adults and $1.65 for children and seniors. “Were happy to be able to again offer this service to our customers from New York City and north Jersey,“ said Jorgen Brich, senior manager of sales at Mountain Creek. The bus will leave Port Authority Bus Terminal at 7:30 a.m., stop at Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride at 8 a.m., and reach Mountain Creek at 9:12 a.m. The return trip will depart Mountain Creek at 4:30 p.m., stop at Willowbrook Mall Park & Ride at approximately 5:40 p.m., and arrive at Port Authority at 6:12 p.m. With a valid N.J. Transit yellow bus fare receipt (dated the same day only), adults will receive a $10 discount on a weekend lift ticket at Mountain Creek ($5 off for youth and seniors), or $2 off a one-hour tubing session.
