On-Air auctions of gaming systems to benefit Toys for Teens

    Franklin — Local radio stations 102.3 WSUS, 103.7 WNNJ, Max 106.3 and Oldies 1360, along with Best Buy stores, launched on-air auctions this week featuring this holiday’s hottest video game systems: Playstation 3 and Nintendo Wii. Funds raised from Clear Channel Tri-State’s high bidders will benefit Toys for Teens, a program of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. “We are proud to work with Best Buy to benefit Toys for Teens and give you a chance to bid on this year’s hottest video game consoles,” said Vince Thomas, program director and afternoon talent from 102.3 WSUS. “One hundred percent of the bid amount will benefit Toys for Teens, a Marine Toys for Tots Foundation program.” Collectively, these auction winners raised $5469.99 for local teens this holiday season. Winning bids on Nintendo Wii came from Andrew Snoddy of Sussex, German Estevez of Newton, Antonio Pasquariello and Leo Gort of East Stroudsburg, Pa. Lisa Osborne of Milford, Pa., Rick Brzozowski of Highland Lakes, Rob Greenfield of Washington, and Antonio Pasquariello of East Stroudsburg, Pa., were the high bidders on Playstation 3.
