Operation: Cougar Pride

For the fourth consecutive year, Kittatinny junior high students have participated in Operation Cougar Pride, a service learning project in which care packages are sent to KRHS graduates serving in the military. One such package was sent to Captain Stacy Mumm, Kittatinny Class of 1997 and a 2001 graduate of West Point. Students wrote letters, thank you cards, and notes of encouragement and collected snacks, entertainment items and personal care items to include in the package. Captain Mumm has been stationed in Iraq since March on a 12- to 15-month tour. Last year, students made her a fleece blanket that she took with her to Iraq. Students involved in the project are: In front, holding some of the items being sent are Cameron Leonard, Skylar Basile, Joyce Seifried, Corey Wrigley, Dillon Gray, Brian McNanna, Tasha Wehrenberg, and Annaliese Schueler.
