Perona Farms recognized for high standards in food safety

    ANDOVER - The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation recently informed Perona Farms that its executive chef, Kirk Avondoglio, and its chef de cuisine, Brian Bagley, have earned the industry-respected ServSafe® food protection manager certification. “Our chefs took the course and testing to ensure that we are up-to-date on the latest in food safety,” noted Wade Avondoglio, president of Perona Farms, who had previously successfully completed the certification process. “Our standards are very high; responsible food safety practices are important at Perona Farms.” The ServSafe training and certification program is recognized by more federal, state and local jurisdictions than any other food safety certification. More than 2.4 million food-service professionals have been certified through the ServSafe certification examination, which is accredited by the American National Standards Institute - Conference for Food Protection.
