Police seek help in capturing criminals causing damage in Newton

Newton — At 8 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 10, a Newton resident telephoned police to report damage to windows observed on Spring St. The resident, who told police she heard the sound of glass breaking the night before between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m., observed the damage to the windows after leaving her apartment the morning after. The store front windows of 197 Spring St. and at 123 Spring St. were broken using an unknown object or projectile. The exact value of the damage has yet to be determined. Police are asking anyone with information regarding the damage to contact the police a 383-2525.
