January 26,2007 Sussex County Prosecutor David J. Weaver announced the sentencing of Dennis Ladlee, 50, of Newton, who appeared before the Honorable Thomas J. Critchley, Jr., JSC at the Sussex County Courthouse in Newton. He was sentenced two years probation with a condition he is to serve 41 days in the Keough-Dwyer Correctional Facility and perform 150 hours of community service. He was ordered to complete the Decide Program, a domestic violence anger management program and undergo and follow the recommendations of a substance abuse evaluation and to pay $155 in monetary penalties. He pled guilty on Dec. 18, 2006, to aggravated assault, a third degree crime. Ladlee admitted that on or about Nov. 9, 2005, he had assaulted an adult female during a domestic dispute causing significant bodily injury. He was represented by Geoffrey Orlandi, Esq. and the State was represented by Assistant Prosecutor Robin Lawrie.
