Andover Borough - The public is invited to provide input at a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 22 on the borough’s master plan reexamination. State law requires each municipality to open up the planning process every six years to determine if residents believe the governing body is on the right course or if changes should be made to the master plan. The master plan governs future growth in the municipality and sets the stage for revisions to the zoning ordinance. At the meeting, the borough will take comments on environmental considerations, infrastructure needs and the public’s vision for zoning that will enhance environmental protection while encouraging economic growth. Undeveloped land, and every developed property that may undergo changes are influenced by the revision of the master plan. Both residents and members of the business community will be heard. Two meetings will be held at the Borough Fire House for public input on the Beazer project. Although the borough approved a developers’ agreement and overlay zoning last year, it is under a court order to revisit those decisions. The meetings will both be held at 7 p.m. The first is on Wednesday, Jan. 31 and the second is on Wednesday, Feb. 7. Beazer homes is a 590-unit residential project on 235 acres of farmland between Route 206 and Brighton Road. Besides 80 single-family detached homes, 197 age-restricted units, 121 townhouses and 192 for-sale apartments, the project calls for 30,000 square feet of retail space, 38,000 square feet of office space, 175,000 square feet of warehouse/industrial space and 10,000 square feet of public space.
