Rev. Brown School celebrates special week
Sparta - Starting Monday, Jan. 30, Reverend Brown Memorial School in Sparta will be celebrating Catholic Schools Week whose theme is “Character, Compassion, Values.” This annual event gives all Catholic schools an opportunity to acknowledge their connection to the parish, community, students, nation, volunteers and teachers through special activities for the students. The week’s activities include new parent classroom visitation from 9 to 10:30 a.m. and from 1 to 2 p.m. on Monday, Jan 30. On Tuesday, Jan. 31, the school will welcome families of students currently enrolled at the school. Other activities will include a Serve-a-thon during which students complete projects to help others, a luncheon for the teachers hosted by the student council, student assemblies presented by Father Tom of Blessed Kateri parish, a special mass to honor Catholic schools, and volleyball games between students and teachers. Students will also have the opportunity to dress up in crazy hats and socks on Friday. Through all of these activities Rev. Brown students reinforce their commitment to their community, school, and church by building character, showing compassion for others, and honoring the values of their home and school.
