Sparta - Students at the Rev. Brown school went Christmas shopping this week during school hours. School parents organized the “Christmas Store” at the school so the children could go shopping for small items for their families. Older students were paired with the younger grades to help them manage their purchasing. Students were given a budget by their parents and then independently purchased small items, varying in price from $1 to $5. The students enjoyed the opportunity to buy gifts for their families as they learned how to stay within their budgets.
