Ribbon cutting launches Entrepreneurial Studies center at SCCC
Newton - An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was scheduled to be held at 11 am. today (March 2) to celebrate the opening of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and Development at Sussex County Community College. College personnel, along with Sussex County officials, were expected to join members of the U.S.Dept. of Agriculture, the Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, and the Economic Development Partnership, for the “grand opening” ceremony. Located in room 101 of building B, the new center has been created as a resource facility that will be supported by technology, counseling, and other assets to assist entrepreneurs in Sussex County. The center is available to serve the needs of new businesses, business expansion, or businesses looking to redefine their objectives. In today’s changing business environment, the center’s goal is to stimulate economic growth in the county. “We would like to thank the USDA/Rural Development for providing us with the grant funding needed to establish this center,” said Sivaraman Anbarasan, dean of corporate and community education at the college. “Without their support, this project would not be available to the citizens of Sussex County.”
