NEWTON — On Monday, Oct. 17, Roadtrip Nation, a PBS documentary series, will visit Sussex County Community College (SCCC) from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. The trademark green RV will be parked in front of the Student Center where students can interact with the crew to learn about the series, their work, and how individuals can apply to "hit the road" with them next summer. At 1:30 p.m. there will be a video screening and discussion located in the PSE&G Student Center Theater. Roadtrip Nation began in 2001 when four college graduates, not knowing what to do with their lives, decided to travel throughout the country interviewing people who love their lives. They now share those stories with those still questioning what their own path is under the slogan "define your own road in life." The series' college tour focuses on self-discovery and attendees will have the opportunity to reflect on the goals they have set for their life and obtain some of the resources they will need to get them there. Attendees will also get to learn inspiring stories of others who live meaningful lives and how they too can "leave their mark on the world," which is this season's theme. SCCC is the only community college featured on the fall tour. This event is free to staff and students who have an SCCC ID.
