Sussex County - Local Rotary clubs are offering a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for four outstanding young adults to visit Nigeria on a month-long, expense-paid cultural exchange trip. Selected young men and women will be part of the Rotary Foundation’s group study exchange team, traveling throughout the Enugu region during April and May, 2006. Round-trip airfare is provided by the Rotary Foundation, while area Rotarians will provide meals, lodging and travel within the host district. Interested persons must be between the ages of 25 and 40, must live or work in Sussex, Morris, Essex, or Warren Counties and have been employed in the same industry for a minimum of two years. Deadline for application is Nov. 30. Rotary’s purpose is to promote international understanding and good will through person-to-person contact. The exchange allows participants from two different parts of the world to visit each other’s countries. As ambassadors of Rotary, they will share their personal, cultural and professional experience with those they meet in the host country. Recent exchange teams have included medical professionals, educators, public safety personnel, financial and banking service representatives, agricultural and construction experts.
