SCCC Announces a workshop to assist farmers with USDA Grants

Newton -The New Jersey Department of Agriculture in partnership with the Rutgers University Food Innovation Center is holding a workshop to assist area farmers and agricultural producers with securing grants from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) The grants provide funding for development or expansion of agricultural businesses. The workshop will be held at the county community college theater, Building D, on Tuesday, Nov. 22. Farmers and producer groups are encouraged to participate in this workshop. Continental breakfast and registration will commence at 8:30 a.m. The program will begin at 9 a.m. and conclude at noon. The workshop is free of charge. Pre-registration is necessary, and can be done online at www.foodinnovation.rutgers.edu or by calling the Rutgers Food Innovation Center at (856) 459-1125. Facilities for the workshop are accessible for the disabled.
