SCCC offering real estate course
Newton - Corporate and Community Education at Sussex County Community College will offer a preparatory course for the N.J. Real Estate Licensing Exam from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, from July 10 through July 31. The college reports that 100 percent of the students who took the course when it was offered previously, passed the exam. Students are required to take a real estate pre-licensing course before they can take the state examination to become a licensed real estate salesperson. Upon successful completion of the 75-hour course, students will receive a certificate which is used to gain admission into the state exam. A high-school diploma or GED is required to obtain licensing by the state. Cost for the course is $259 plus an additional textbook fee. In addition, Corporate Community Education is offering a six-hour, one-day “Essentials” computer software course in Microsoft Excel from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 19. Participants will learn how to create a worksheet; edit and format worksheets with visual “punch,” charts and graphics; and master an array of Excel formulas and functions.
