Screenplay by local writer to be filmed

    MILFORD, PA — Milford local and a past president of the Black Bear Film Festival, "judywhite," has recently sold her first screenplay, for the feature-length drama-comedy, “Lies I Told My Little Sister,” The film will be shot this May in Cape Cod, New Jersey, and Pike County, PA. The Screen Actors Guild production is under the auspices of producer Jonathan Weisbrod, an NYU graduate who was the first recipient of the Black Bear Film Festival’s academic scholarship. Weisbrod was a volunteer for the festival for many years, and served as its Film Salon Programmer from 2008-2010. He was honored with both the David Chase Screenwriting Award and Founders Day Award while at NYU’s Kanbar Institute of Film and Television. Writer, judywhite is the author of several award-winning books, and is also a noted photographer at GardenPhotos.com. She began her writing career as a humor columnist for Seventeen Magazine.
