November 2 At 10:33 p.m. Lisa Collins, 23, of Newton, was stopped after nearly striking a marked Sheriffs vehicle and a gasoline pump at the Newton Tiger Mart on Water Street. As a result of an investigation, Collins was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, and failure to have her vehicle inspected. She was released pending a future Court date. The arrest was conducted by Sheriffs Officer Christopher Bork, assisted by Sheriffs officers Samantha Shpiruk and Ed Galinski.
