Sparta 7th grader wins 4 titles at regional horse show

SPARTA - Abigail Pait, a 7th grade Sparta Middle School student, reigns as American Quarter Horse Assn. Region Five champion in four events after winning against competitors from Virginia, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware. Abigail and her American quarter horse “Zips Chips Ahoy” took the champion prize in Showmanship, Horsemanship and Western Pleasure. Abigail and her American Quarter Horse “Dominating Mister” also took the champion prize in Youth Geldings. Abigail has also finished her youth championship this year with Zips Chips Ahoy. At the All American Quarter Horse Congress in Columbus, Ohio, the largest single breed horse show in the world, she placed in the top five in showmanship and horsemanship with “Zips Chips Ahoy” and was the Reserve Champion Youth Gelding with “Dominating Mister.” Abigail is from the Cofrancesco Farms in Sparta, where her father is the trainer for the Cofrancesco family.
