On April 3 at 3:22 p.m., Patrolman Joseph Antonello was on routine patrol on Route 15, when he observed a blue Honda with a cracked windshield After stopping the vehicle, the officer determined the driver, Patrick Reilly, 28, of Hamburg, had a suspended license. Further investigation revealed heroin and drug paraphernalia in the car. Reilly and the front seat passenger, Greg Babcock, 31, also of Hamburg, were both charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (heroin) and drug paraphernalia. Reilly was additionally charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and operating a car with a cracked windshield. Both men were released pending required court appearances. On April 5 at 9:36 p..m., Patrolman Mark Mastandrea responded to the Skyview Golf Club to check on two vehicles parked there. When he arrived ,he observed five individuals sitting in a silver BMW. As Mastandrea approached the vehicle he smelled the odor of burned marijuana. The driver of the vehicle, Nicholas Fiore, 19, of Sparta was arrested for possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. A 17-year old male was also charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, The remaining three individuals were not charged. The juvenile was released to his parents pending a required court appearance.. Fiore was released pending a required court appearance, On April 7 at l:47 a.m.. Sgt. Jeffrey Mase was on routine patrol on Woodport Road, when he observed a red GMC pick-up truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver Joseph Vincent, 21, of Ogdensburg, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing.. Vincent was additionally charged with careless driving, having an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failure to change address and speeding. He was released pending a required court appearance.
