Patrolman Robert Fraser was on routine pattol on Route 15 at 2:24 p.m. on Friday,April 13 when he noticed a black Dodge Neon traveling north bound and saw the passenger discard a cigarette out of the window. After stopping the car, Fraser noticed material commonly used as narcotic paraphernalia on the floor. Further investigation revealed a crack pipe and a hypodermic syringe. The driver, Jay Meyerhoff, 26, of Milford Pa. and the passenger, Kimberly Milner, 33, also of Milford, were placed under arrest and transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing. At headquarters, Milner was found to be in possession of 38 bags of heroin and seven bags of crack cocaine. Meyerhoff was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of heroin and a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle He was later released pending a required court appearance, Milner was charged with possession of heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of crack cocaine with the intent to distribute and tampering with evidence. She was lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail. Patrolman Kurt Morris was on routine patrol on Woodport Road at 1:56 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, when he observed a blue Hyundai being driven without its headlights on. After stopping the vehide and approaching the driver, Morns smelled the odor of alcohol. The driver, Karl Vondexheyde, 38, of Stanhope, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing. He was additionally charged with careless driving, unregistered vehicle, failure to maintain lane, operating w/o headlights and obstructing the flow of traffic, Vondexheyde was released pending a required court appearance, Patrolman Joseph Pensado was on routine patrol on West Shore Trail at 12:02 a.m. on Sunday, April 15, when he observed a black Toyota Corolla parked in the Lake Mohawk Country Club parking lot. As Pensado approached, he observed a male individual who was standing outside the vehicle, bend down near the vehide as if to hide something. A search of the area produced a glass pipe with burned marijuana residue. Jeffrey Luszcz,, 18, of Newton, was placed under arrest, Four juveniles were transported to Sparta police headquarters. They were later released without charges. Mr. Luszcz was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was released pending a required court appearance. Patrolman Dave Pridham was on routine patrol on Route 15 at 1:50 a.m. on Monday, April 16, when he observed a blue Chrysler PT cruiser parked in a business location along the highway. Pridham pulled next to the vehicle and asked the driver if everything was okay, The driver said that he was fine. An odor of alcohol was present. The driver John Camanelli, 22, of Little Falls, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing. He was additionally charged with careless driving and violating a provisional drivers license. Camanelli was released pending a required court appearance.
