    June 16 Sgt. Jeff Mase was on routine patrol on East Shore Trail at 11:27 p.m. when he observed a silver Subaru traveling at a high rate of speed. The driver, Tara Fletcher, 19, of Sparta, was subsequently arrested for possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana) and for possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Fletcher was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing. She was additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and speeding. She was released pending a municipal court appearance. June 17 At 9:26 p.m., Ptl. Marc Rubino responded to a report of an erratic driver operating a green Chevrolet Blazer on Woodport Road. Sgt. Jeff Mase stopped the described vehicle with a flat passenger side front tire. The driver, Victor Fuentes, 46, of Sparta, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing and additionally charged with careless driving. Fuentes was released pending a municipal court appearance. June 18 Ptl. Brian Hassloch was on routine patrol on West Shore Trail at 11:14 p.m. when he observed a green Dodge mini-van with a headlight out. The driver (age 17) was arrested for driving while intoxicated and also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (marijuana). The driver was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing and additionally charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle, maintenance of lamps and careless driving. The driver was released pending a court appearance. June 21 Ptl. Brian Hassloch was on routine patrol at 12:33 a.m. on Farmbrook Road when he observed a white Volvo parked in the travel portion of the roadway. Further investigation led to the arrest of the driver (age 17) for DWI. A passenger in the vehicle (age 17) was charged with possession of narcotic paraphernalia. Both individuals were released to their parents pending required court appearances. June 22 At 12:56 a.m., Ptl. Marc Rubino was on routine patrol when he stopped a green Mercury Sable for a violation. The driver, Gary Fernandez, 52, of Sparta, was subsequently arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to Sparta police headquarters for processing. Fernandez was additionally charged with driving while suspended, careless driving and failure to maintain lane. He was released pending a required court appearance.
