Jefferson 8, High Point 4 Mike Nimmo circled the bases twice as he powered Jefferson to a 8-4 victory over High Point on the baseball diamond. Nimmo went deep with a teammate on base in the bottom of the second and blasted a three-run round-tripper in the fifth and was selected the SCIL/Richards and Summers Player of the Week. Matt Kern went the distance to even his record at 2-2 as he scattered five hits and fanned four. Vernon 5, Kittatinny 1 Ryan Anzelone blasted a three-run homer in the top of the third to propel Vernon to a 5-1 victory over Kittatinny. Ken Meerendonk pitched a complete game, allowing three singles and fanning seven as the Vikings upped their record to 7-3.
