    Wallkill Valley tied Teaneck for second place in the varsity boys team standings at the 2006 Ranger Relays, four points behind champion Morris Knolls. In the girls’ division, High Point finished in a second place, deadlocked with Morris Knolls, eight points behind first place Livingston, while Wallkill Valley followed in fourth place. Frank Elmuccio, David Lancellotti, James Coan and John Ramos glided over the timbers to a first place performance in the 440-meter high hurdle shuttle relay as the Wallkill Valley foursome was clocked in 1:07.37. In the field event competitions, High Point’s Corbin Opilla leaped 16-1/2 to place first in the long jump. Steve D’Arcy (High Point), Billy Scott (Wallkill Valley) and Brendan Gorey (Newton) placed 1-2-3 in the shot put with Jeremy Singleton (Wallkill Valley), Kevin Rheinheimer (Newton) and Ryan Petersen placing 1-2-3 in the javelin. The Falcon’s duo of Michael Ward and Petersen finished 1-3 in the discus. In the girls’ division, High Point’s Laura Champignon won the javelin with a throw of 108-4, while Jefferson’s Rachal Barta placed third. The Wallkill Valley duo of Heather Coffaro and Emy Andolina went 2-3 in the shot put while High Point’s Alexandra Kelly was third in the discus.
