Shore Coaches Invitational Pope John’s Jeremy Scheid won the varsity boys Division E 5000-meter run in the Shore Coaches Cross-Country Invitational contested on Saturday at Holmdel Park in Monmouth County. Scheid broke the tape in 16:14 in the prestigious competition that draws schools from all over the Garden State to the course that hosts the NJSIAA Meet of Champions. Scheid was named the SCIL/Main Street 5K Boy Runner of the Week. Lenape Valley’s Megan Murnane turned in an impressive effort in the varsity girls’ E Division 5000-meter run, placing fifth in 20:19. She was chosen the SCIL/Main Street 5K Girl Runner of the Week. Pope John topped the team standings in the Freshmen Girls B 3200-Meter Run Team Scores as Ashton Weiler (14:04) and Marissa Galante (14:28) raced across the line 1-2 overall.
