Kittatinny 9, Hopatcong 0 Kittatinny romped to a 9-0 triumph over Hopatcong as Lauren Nicomini netted two goals and dished off an assist. Nicomini was chosen the SCIL/Richards and Summers Player of the Week. Sarah Bates, Grace Esposito, Milissa Kistle, Kelly Lampeter, Lauren McArthur, Kelsey Roberts and Hope Schlesser contributed goals. Christy Abrams, Batesm Lampeter, Mitjans, Alex Polizzo and Schlesser added assists. High Point 3, Jefferson 2 High Point edged Jefferson 3-2 in overtime despite a pair of goals by the Falcons’ Jessica Galfo. Samantha Bell and Christine Van Orden scored for the Wildcats who won in OT when Caitlyn Orr scored with 7:48 remaining in the extra period. Kaiti Robertazzi dished off two assists with Becky Penhacker picking up an assist. Newton 2, Kittatinny 1 Newton had to go to shootout to up its record to 14-1 by edging Kittatinny 2-1. Devon Westra put the Braves on the board 2:29 into the game before Maxine Mitjans knotted the score in the second half. Amanda Miller connected on a pair of penalty strokes to produce the victory. PJ 3, Jefferson 2 Pope John edged Jefferson 3-2 in a match decided by the shoot out format. Meredith Harclerode and Kelly Walsh scored in regulation with Walsh picking up an assist for the Lady Lions. Natalie Sutherland drilled a penalty stroke into the Falcons’ cage to win the contest.
