Wallkill 8, Vernon 0 Wallkill Valley’s Kara Buda exploded for five goals and distributed an assist to ignite the Rangers to a 8-0 rout of Vernon. Buida was chosen the SCIL/Richards and Summers Player of the Week. Amanda Nann also produced a hat trick, scoring three goals and picking up four assists, while her sister Samantha, the Ranger goalie stopped two shots to earn the shutout. Kittatinny 7, Hopatcong 0 Kelly McCaskill pitched a shutout as Kittatinny routed Hopatcong 7-0. Lauren Nicomini netted two goals and dished off a pair of assists while Maxine Mitjans scored twice and picked up an assist. Alex Polizzo added a goal and assist while Hope Schlaffer and Kayla Van Osten tallied goals. Christy Abrams, Grace Esposito and Brianna Fitzpatrick were credited with assists. PJ 1, Jefferson 0 Pope John edged Jefferson 1-0 as Gabby Luongo stopped six shots on goal. Megan Hoffnagle netted an unassisted goal in the second half. Newton edged Lenape Valley 2-1 I double overtime in a clash that started with both squads unbeaten at 4-0. Brittany Holl gave the Patriots an early lead before Kelly Churchill knotted the game before the halftime break off a feed from Aamnda Miller. Newton picked up the victory on a penalty stroke format following a scoreless OT period.
