    Pope John 6, Kittatinny 0 Emily Carrollo provided the firepower as Pope John ripped Kittatinny 6-0 in an SCIL girls’ soccer match on Thursday afternoon. With the win the Lions’ clinched at least a share of the league title. Carrollo netted four goals and dished off an assist as she was chosen the Eastern Propane Player of the Week. Keeper Erin Guthrie stopped four shots to register the shutout, while Julia Beese and Christina Stassi chipped in with goals. Alex Cumello and Courtney Flanagan contributed two assists apiece, with Stephanie Barbulescu also picking up an assist. Sparta 3, Jefferson 3 Sparta and Jefferson battled to a 3-3 draw following a pair of scoreless overtime periods. Teresa Esposito and Jessica Tate staked the Falcons to a 2-0 lead before Kayla Kretschmer and Danielle Jacobs knotted the score before intermission. Liz Asman regained the lead for Jefferson eight minutes into the second before Kretschmer’s second tally knotted the contest five minutes later. Lenape 5, High Point 3 Tricia DiPaolo recorded another hat trick as Lenape Valley moved into sole possession of second place by defeating High Point 5-3. Kristen Johnson and Sara Juliano also scored for the Lady Patriots while Jessica Lain, Shannon McEvoy and Ashley Sanborn scored for the Wildcats. Wallkill 3, Newton 1 Wallkill Valley defeated Newton 3-1 as Diana Graziano tallied a pair of goals with Sarah Hildebrand chipping in with a solo goal.
