    Newton 3, Lenape 2 Newton edged Lenape Valley 3-2 as the Braves’ ace, Jywel Almirante, remained unbeaten by posting a 6-1, 6-2 victory in the clash of No. 1 singles players. Almirante was chosen the SCIL/Sparta Athletic Club Player of the Week. Erin Henegen (6-0, 6-0) and Catherine DePalma (6-4, 6-1) completed a sweep of the singles as Newton remained unbeaten at 4-0. Newton 3, Kittatinny 2 A day earlier, Newton edged Kittationny 3-2 as Almirante won by scores of 6-4, 6-0 and Hennegen coasted to a 6-0, 6-1 victory in the second singles slot. The top doubles tandem of Kelly Hontz and Jessica Schwartz produced the crucial third team point by winning 6-4, 6-1. High Point 5, Tech 0 High Point dropped only one game in the singles competitions in routing Sussex Tech 5-0. Lauren Tracy won 6-0, 6-1 at first singles while Marly Roache and Lauren Bayse posted identical 6-0, 6-0 wins in the second and third singles matches. The top doubles team of Kelly Costello and Michelle Morawsky won 6-3, 6-0 while the No. 2 duo of Gabby Carpenter and Diana Costa posted a 6-2, 6-0 victory. Sparta 5, Hopatcong 0 Unbeaten Sparta won its third straight match, blanking Hopatcong 5-0. Michelle Hardy tossed a 6-0, 6-0 shutout in the No. 3 singles match while Laura Lyons and Tricia Ashmore won in straight sets in the first and second singles positions. PJ 4, Vernon 1 Joy Johnson won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles as Pope John defeated Vernon 4-1. Kerry McKinley and Anne Lockwood completed a straight set sweep of the single matches. Wallkill 4, Lenape 1 Wallkill Valley rolled to a 4-1 win over Lenape Valley as Deniz Uzel and Ann Murken turned in straight set victories in the first and second singles slots. The Rangers doubles teams of Kate Ayers/Cailtin Lang as well as Nina Incorvaia and Kim Kowalchuk also won in straight sets.
