Aces David Smith of Cranberry Lake, registered an ace playing at Apple Mountain in Belvidere. He used a five iron on the 155-yard fifteenth with playing partners Lou DeMuth, Mike Luciano and Dennis Sherwood as witnesses. Wild Turkey in Hamburg was the venue for Joe Catenaro’s hole-in-one. Playing with Roger Allen, Steve Ament and Bill Close, Catenaro used his five wood to ace the 187-yard fourteenth hole. Youn Soo Cho was playing with Injoo Choi, Ku Kin Soh and Young Yu Soh when he hit off the twelfth tee at Berkshire Valley in Jefferson with a seven iron, driving the ball 161 yards to the green where it rolled into the cup. Anthony Furfaro aced the 120-yard fifth hole with his nine iron as Mark Long, John Lord and Mark Presto witnessed the feat on the Valley View course at Farmstead in Andover. Ernest LePori carded his hole-in-one on the 175-yard seventeenth hole using a four iron as Charlie Campbell, George DeMartine and Wally Kuenzel watched. Bill Taylor turned in the fifth hole-in-one playing Bowling Green in Oak Ridge with Joe LaScala and Bernie Massari, It came at the 180-yard eleventh hole when he hit off the tee with his five iron.
