Three aces Jerilyn McBride, Soon Park and Bill Petrie were the latest local golfers to card holes-in-one. McBride, playing with Tim Mustachio, used an eight-iron to ace the 93-yard ninth hole on the Lake View Course at the Farmstead Golf and Country Club in Andover. Petrie’s ace also came at Farmstead, but on the third hole. He used a five iron on the 186-yard par three. His playing partners, Charlie Banks and Tony Raimondo, witnessed the milestone. Park was playing the 120-yard, twelfth hole at Berkshire Valley in Jefferson with Jae Park and Kil-Soo Park when he carded a hole-in-one. He used a four-iron. Bowling Green Bernie Gingras won the Bowling Green Individual Net competition in Oak Ridge with Eric Lohwassen finishing second and Brian Higgins picked up the third place trophy. Lake Mohawk In the Women’s Association Tournament of Champions Shoot-Out at Lake Mohawk in Sparta, Jeanne Connell finished first, Sharon Eckert was runnerup and Shelia Ventricelli placed third. Wallkill At Wallkill in Franklin, the duo of Charlene and Dan Morse won the Couples Modified Best Ball Tournament with a 25. Finishing second on a match of cards at 26 was the tandem of Carolyn and Gary Bunje, while the team of Merlin and Ruth Baker finished third.
