Chiefs, Spartans sweep in SCIL kegling Hopatcong and Sparta swept their matches in the SCIL bowling competition on Wednesday afternoon at Sparta Lanes. The Chiefs defeated Newton while the Spartans blanked Vernon. Lenape Valley defeated Sussex Tech 5-2 with Wallkill Valley edging High Point 4-3. Wallkill Valley’s Ryan Egan swept the individual honors, posting a 289 game in his three-game pin fall of 729. Lenape Valley’s Rid Sigler turned in the second highest game of 267 while Hopatcong’s Travis Sterling sent 255 pins flying off their marks over 10 frames.
