Ice World welcomes new instructor

Hardyston Skylands Ice World recently announced that Sparta resident Kelly J. Evans will be teaching at their newly re-opened ice arena, on Rt. 23 in Hardyston. Evans is a double U.S. Figure Skating Gold Medalist, specializing in power skating for hockey players of all levels, developing their in-game skating skills. His proven Body Position’ technique of teaching has worked with hundreds of young and old players. He coaches all levels from the beginner hockey player to the college level player and also trains goalies. Many of Evans’s students are now playing at the AAA travel team level. Evans, once a full time skating instructor, now teaches part time only and is the owner of Signs Etc., on the jug handle in Sparta. Evans also currently teaches at South Mountain Arena in West Orange, which is the home practice rink for the New Jersey Devils.
