    PJ 13 N. Highlands 12 Pope John pulled out a 13-12 victory over Northern Highlands when Adam Monsalve scored off a pass from Mike Falduto with 6:49 remaining on Thursday afternoon. It was the only lead of the game for the Lions, who trailed by four goals in the second half before recording their eighth win in 11 games. Dave DiLauri supplied the firepower as he netted six goals and dished off an assist. Monsalve finished with two goals and five assists. Goalie John Stye made 17 saves. PJ 12 Wayne Valley 11 On Wednesday, Pope John edged Wayne Valley 12-11, as DiLauri, Falduto and Corbin Falvo scored three goals apiece with Falduto credited with three assists. Kinnelon 14 Jefferson 5 Jefferson stayed in contention for one half, trailing 4-1 at the break before succumbing to powerful Kinnelon, 14-5, in a girls’ match. Megan Monzo scored twice for the Falcons. Vernon 20 Lacordaire 2 Vernon rolled to a 20-2 triumph over Lacordaire of Upper Montclair, as Amanda Matos powered the attack with four goals. Linda Bohn netted three goals and dished off a pair of assists. Amy Buffalino scored three goals, Kayla Macerino tallied two goals and had off two assists, while Jess Heggner and Silja Karlsen each had two goals and two assists.
