    Vernon 14, Mt. Olive 5 Kayla Macerino and Linda Bohn combined to score nine goals in leading Vernon's girls' team to a 14-5 rout of Mount Olive in a girls’ lacrosse match played Wednesday in Flanders. Macerino netted five goals and Bohn tallied four while Jess Hegner notched a hat trick. Silje Karlsen chipped in with a goal and four assists, while Amanda Matos added a goal and assist. Amy Buffalino and Shannon Gillen dished off assists with goalie Kristen Oyen recording 10 saves. Vernon 16, W. Orange 3 The Vernon boys' team trounced West Orange 16-3, as C.J. Flar and Rob Glander posted hat tricks. Flanders finished with three goals and an assist, while Flar netted three goals. Dan Colvin, Mike Deutch, Dan Rawson and Anthony Selimo added a pair of goals, with Anthony Cwirko and VicDeMaio chipping in with solo goals. Jefferson 17, Bergen Tech 3 Jefferson burst out to a 6-0 lead entering the second quarter and coasted to a 17-3 win over Bergen Tech. Josh Warneke tallied a game-high four goals, with Dean Combos netting three goals and distributing five assists while Kevin Murphy scored three times and passed off three assists. Adam Koontz chipped in with two goals and four assists, while Ryan Mullins scored twice. Sean Hutchinson, Mark McConnell and Joe Smith completed the scoring parade by depositing solo goals in the Knights’ castle. PJ 11, DePaul 2 Pope John jumped out to a 9-0 lead by halftime and turned in a 11-2 triumph over DePaul. Corbin Falvo scored five goals, while Adam Monsalve netted two goals and dished off three assists with Dave DiLauri adding two goals and two assists.
