Lady Highlanders blank Hornets

Coming off a 10-6-3 record in 2004, it took West Milford two games to experience the thrill of victory but that occurred on Monday afternoon when the Highlanders blanked Passaic Valley 2-0. The Northern Hills Conference - Skyline Division confrontation was played in West Milford. Following a scoreless opening half, West Milford scored twice down the stretch. Senior midfielder Kelly Valerie netted the game-winning tally with Sophia Lanzo adding an insurance goal. Sophomore keeper Kaitlin Bailey turned aside two shots on goal to register the shutout "W" between the pipes.
