The Lake Mohawk Golf Club Women’s Association held its kick-off tourney on June 5.

Nine- and 18-holers played the field together. Duffers were able to choose from a beautiful array of bejeweled ball markers courtesy of the association.

Ricky Mosel, general manager/director of golf, and Ty Hayes, head golf professional, offered their assistance and direction for the season.

Chris Ely, with assistance from Carol Kozy, Lori Healy and Carol Gordon, reminded members to sign up for the annual member/guest tournament on August 25 themed “Fifty Shades of Green.”

Foursome winners of the day were Melva Cummings, Barbara Rice, Nicole Tracy, Laura Gold.

Before heading out to the course, members dined on a delicious brunch prepared by Chef Paul Donnelly.

The menu was chosen by Julie Killen and her garden peonies graced the dining tables. Barbara Rice, President, orchestrated the meeting and introduced the chairs of the committees.

Esther Kashkin introduced her proposal for a Gardening Committee. Chris Ely did Early Birds. Valerie Horan and the Pro Shop did opening scramble pairings for the golfers.

Players met afterwards on the patio for hors d’oeuvres and refreshments.

Women interested in joining the association should call 973-729-4302.
