Lake Mohawk's Cruiser Club

Clarke, Kane, O’Brien double in defeat Kelly Clarke, Frank Kane and Maggie O’Brien each had a pair of first-place finishes but Lake Mohawk’s Cruiser Club dropped a 356-282 verdict to Packanack Lake in a Lakeland Swim Conference meet on Wednesday. It was the first setback for the Cruiser Club which had opened with a 373-276 victory over the Wayne Waves a week earlier. Clark excelled in the girls 11-12 age division, winning the 50-meter butterfly (40.72) and 50-meter freestyle (35.92) competitions. O’Brien dominated the girls’ 13-14 age bracket with first place efforts in the 50-meter breaststroke (46.47) and 50-meter butterfly (41.70) while Kane stood out in the boys’ 15-18 age group with wins in the 50-meter breaststroke (35.88) and 5—meter butterfly (31.34). Chelsea Ferguson, Morgan Hassa, Lindsay Rippey, Rachel Rippey, Holly Rudel and Lindsay Scott added gold medal efforts.
