Little league hosting registration this Saturday
Byram - The Hobb Engler Little League will hold an additional registration session from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 at the CO Johnson Field House on Roseville Road. Players who will be between the ages of 5 and 16 as of April 30, are eligible to join. Registration fees are $75 for the first player in the family, $50 for a second family member, and there is no charge for any additional family members. The League encourages parents to volunteer to help on several committees to help support the more than 300 young athletes playing in the league. Anyone interested in volunteering is asked to see the league president, Lori Grant, at registration. The league will also host an umpires’ clinic from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Sunday, March 19 at the Field House. The clinic is mandatory for all those interested in umpiring games this season. Rule books and patches will be distributed. A nominal fee will be charged. The Rutgers Clinic will be offered on Monday, April 3 at the Byram Township Civic Center for all adults interested in coaching for the first time. The course is offered to cover safety and liability issues and is required of all coaches by the league.
