STANHOPE — Lenape Valley Regional High School defeated Wallkill Valley Regional High School (Hardyston, N.J.) in varsity football on Friday, September 22, 2017. The final score was 19-7. The game took place at Lenape Valley Regional High School in Stanhope, New Jersey. Lenape Valley controlled Wallkill Valley throughout the first half. The Lenape Valley Patriots held a 12-0 lead over the Wallkill Valley Rangers at halftime. Wallkill Valley managed to get on the scoreboard in the second half but could not contain Lenape Valley's running backs. Cole Robertson had 16 carries for 115 yards and a two-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley. Brandon Brady had 10 carries for 92 yards and a five-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley. Brady also went 1-for-3 on extra points. Troy DuPont had six carries for 74 yards and a three-yard touchdown run for Lenape Valley. Lenape Valley will attempt to keep the momentum going when they play Mountain Lakes High School in Morris County, New Jersey on Friday, September 29th at 7:00 PM. Wallkill Valley will try to taste victory for the first time this season when they take on Whippany Park High School (Morris County, N.J.) at home on Saturday, September 30th at 1:00 PM. Team records: Lenape Valley Patriots 2-1. Wallkill Valley Rangers 0-3.
