Newton Braves keep rolling

— Newton High School defeated Whippany Park High School (Morris County, N.J.) in varsity football on Friday September 14, 2018. The final score was 48-7. The game took place at Newton High School in Newton.
The Newton Braves scored early and often. They have now won 15 consecutive games counting from their incredible 2017 undefeated season.
Newton's Nick Brigante rushed for 202 yards and three touchdowns and had six tackles, two sacks and a forced fumble on defense. Ryan Kaiser ran for 108 yards and two touchdowns for Newton, while also recording seven tackles and one sack. Chris Megna also added a rushing touchdown in the win. Kyheem Butler and Jimmy Harding accomplished one sack apiece for Newton.
Defensive back Michael Freda who also is the starting quarterback for Newton, returned a blocked punt 15 yards for a touchdown.
Whippany Park quarterback Chris Deehan threw a touchdown pass to receiver Jimmy Casalino in the first quarter.
