Newton grad ranked nationally by NCAA

NEWTON — Danielle DeFeo, a 2010 graduate of Newton High School, is currently playing shortstop at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken and is off to a great start. When the National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division III rankings were recently released, DeFeo was ranked 16th in batting average, and 45th in on-base percentage out of all Division III players. DeFeo has scored 20 runs in 24 games and has six runs batted in this year for the Ducks.
