HAMBURG — Newton High School lost to Lodi High School in varsity baseball on Friday, May 23.
The final score was 4-1.
Braves pitcher Cole Van Luvender allowed two runs in the first inning. He recorded two strikeouts and seven hits over six innings.
Hitters Nick Grant and Charlie Grotyohan each hit a double for the Braves but it wasn't enough against Lodi pitcher PJ Potter.
Potter struck out seven Braves batters while allowing one run over seven innings. Potter recorded the win for Lodi.
