Ryan leads 44 local runners in 37th NYC Marathon Netcong’s Steven Ryan led a pack of 44 local runners to the finish of the 37th Annual ING New York City Marathon. The 26-year-old completed the 26.2-mile course through the five boroughs in 2:45:35. Brazil’s Marilson Gomes dos Santos led the record-field of 37,840 participants, becoming the first South American winner when he was clocked in 2:09:58. Jenna Pisani of Sussex was the first local woman to finish, placing 469th among the 12,312 females who completed the event. The 22-year-old was clocked in 3:30:12.
