PAL Wildcats-6 team takes both Rockaway and Montville

On Friday, January 20, the West Milford PAL Wildcats-6 travel basketball team rocked Rockaway 39-26 at the PAL Building in West Milford NJ. After falling behind early due to a poor shooting spell, the Wildcats-6 heated up in the second half to pull away from their visitors. Nick Conlon, Garvin Jones and Josh Basket paced West Milford with eight points apiece. Tyler Maurer (7), Casey Terramoccia (4), John Quazza (2), John Buechel (1), and Aidan Stewart (1) also contributed to the scoring effort. On defense, Maurer hauled down twelve rebounds, while also swiping five Rockaway passes. The following day, the Wildcats-6 hammered Montville 56-34. West Milford’s pressure defense proved too much for the home team to handle, as the Wildcats converted many steals into easy buckets. West Milford’s balanced scoring was supported by Josh Basket (10 points), Steven Cowdin (9), Casey Terramoccia (8), Tyler Maurer (8), Aidan Stewart (7), Nick Conlon (5), Garvin Jones (5), and John Quazza (4). Maurer dished out six assists. On defense, Maurer (6 rebounds), Quazza (6), Stewart (6) and Cowdin (5) helped wipe the glass clean. Maurer also pilfered four Montville passes.
