Vikings look to defend SCIL swim crown Doug Miller begins his ninth season as the head coach of the Vernon girls’ swim team that is looking to repeat as SCIL Festival Champions and return to the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Division A championship round. A quartet of seniors, Hilary Barrett, Nicole Baldwin, Brittany Lukasik and Kellyanne Tomsula head up a veteran corps of eight returning Lady Viking letterwinners. Ed Wynne starts his 20th campaign at the helm of the Pope John program which claimed the SCIL dual meet title last winter with a 9-1 record.
