Skyhawks to open May 29 against North Shore Spirit

Augusta - Construction is continuing at Skylands Park as the Skyhawks get the park ready for opening day. The concession stands and the first base picnic area have had complete makeovers. The recent league and open tryouts drew a turnout of more than 200 players. The Sussex Skyhawks will begin regular season play on Monday, May 29, against the North Shore Spirit. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The Sussex Skyhawks will face the N.J. Jackals in a pre-season scrimmage starting at 7:05 p.m. on Friday, May 19. Because Skylands Park is still undergoing renovation, no admission will be charged. Anyone interested in watching the Skyhawks play for the first time at Skylands Park is welcome to attend. Due to construction, concessions will not be available for the May 19 scrimmage. Skylands Park is located at 94 Championship Place in Augusta.
