    Tech 10, Pius X 4 Rachel Halliwell keyed Sussex Tech’s come-from-behind 10-4 victory over Pius X of Pennsylvania on Wednesday. Halliwell pitched a complete game, scattering four hits and fanning 11 as she overcame six errors by teammates in the top of the first when Pius X jumped out to a 4-0 lead. Halliwell aided her own cause at the plate, connecting for a pair of singles and driving in two runs. Heather Lewis tripled in a run while Jody Blitz went 2 for 3 with an RBI. Wallkill 1, Sparta 0 Wallkill Valley edged Sparta 1-0 in an SCIL confrontation that saw only three hits. Diane Washer singled twice in three at bats for the Lady Rangers and scored the game’s only run in the bottom of the seventh on a throwing error. Raliegh Sperring singled for the Lady Spartans as Stephanie Romano picked up the “W” to improve to 4-2. Sparta 9, Lenape 0 Raleign Sperring pitched a completed game, scattering three hits, fanning eight and walking no one as she hurled a 9-0 shutout over Lenape Valley. Danielle Koert singled twice, plating three teammates, while Jamie Cresbaugh tripled for Sparta. Jefferson 11, Vernon 0 Jamie Danielson fanned 14 as she went the distance, finishing with a two-hit shutout over Vernon. The 11-0 win improved the Falcons record 4-1. Brittany Beckmann and Rebecca Furman both singled twice for Jefferson, while Shannon Harrington doubled.
