SPARTA — Veritas Christian Academy, of Sparta, defeated American Christian School, of Wharton, in high school boys varsity basketball on Friday, December 16. The final score was 62-50. The game took place at Veritas Christian Academy. Jake Doorley led the game in scoring, notching nineteen points, and he grabbed seven rebounds for Veritas. Matthew Barber scored eighteen points, accomplished three steals and grabbed four rebounds for Veritas. Tolu Akintunde and Ty Yurgel each scored ten points for Veritas. Jael Maldonado scored 16 points for American Christian School. Stephen Testa contributed ten points for American Christian School. Ethan Brennan and Jeff Enemuo each scored eight points for American Christian School.
